Cedar Grove Compost is Pacific Northwest recycled brush, branches, leaves, grass clippings, produce trimmings, and small amount of wood waste. This herbaceous and woody material mix provides an ideal habitat for naturally occurring microorganisms, is essential for mineralization and plant nutrient uptake, and assists in disease suppression.

**As a Soil Amendment - Cedar Grove Compost adds organic matter, nutrients, and beneficial microorganisms to enhance growth, porosity, and water retention. An essential gardening ingredient, Cedar Grove Compost loosens clay soil, holds moisture, and nutrients in sandy soil, and increases the number of beneficial soil organisms. Mix equal parts of Compost with existing soil to a depth of 4-8 inches.
**Mulch - Add 3 inches of Cedar Grove Compost to protect soil from erosion and evaporation, insulate plant roots from temperature fluctuations and reduce weed growth. The dark color enhances plant contrasts. For trees, place 6 inches away from the trunk.
**Vegetable Gardens - Cedar Grove Compost should be tilled into the soil to establish 25% blend of compost to garden soil before planting.
**New Lawns - Lawns benefit from Cedar Grove Compost whether they are seeded, sodded or hydroseeded. The compost can be used as an amendment to tired soil and tilled in.

This product is made from recycled green waste and food waste. Cedar Grove's manufacturing process involves minimizing, screening, and removing inert particles and pieces that are commonly found in commercially composted feedstocks. Some level of inert material may still be present in this product after it is cleaned and processed. These materials will not harm your plants, vegetables or landscape.

Peeeeuwh!!! This product is the planting medium used in modern mushroom farming. It is a general organic fertilizer used as an amendment to enrich the soil with nutrients essential for improving root systems. The product may consists of wheat straw, chicken litter, peat moss, cottonseed hulls, limestone, feather meal and other proprietary ingredients. The product is alkaline (7.8 to 8.6 pH)

A combination of the popular Cedar Grove Compost with Medium Bark, NW Garden Mulch is an excellent mulching and plant feeding product. Use NW Garden Mulch to replace bark or other mulches that do not offer the increased soil benefits found in NW Garden Mulch. Other characteristics include:
Pacific Garden Mulch
A recylced product, Pacific Garden Mulch is a dark composted yard and garden waste that is very high in fertile nutrient elements. It is an excellent soil amendment or top dressing and also retains moisture.

Cedar Grove Booster Blend
A mix of 50% Cedar Grove Compost and 50% Washed Dairy Manure, Booster Blend contains organic matter derived from Washed Dairy Manure, which is high in nitrogen and excellent for vegetable and herb gardens.
The Washed Dairy Manure is collected in a confined feedstock operation, offering a high input control for potential weed seeds that might be found in other manure sources. Our Booster Blend is certified organic and approved under the Washington State Department of Agriculture Food Program.
Uses:
Soil Amendment - For plant and turf establishment and growth. In vegetable and herb gardens, Booster Blend provides organic matter, soil organisms, and macro and micro nutrients for crop growth and development. Till to a depth of 4-8 inches and add 2-3 inches of Booster Blend and then till again.
Mulch – Weed the area to be covered and apply 3 inches over existing soil and around plants.
Cedar Grove Washed Dairy Manure
This product is now only sold as part of the ingredient of Cedar Grove Booster Blend (see above). You cannot buy it separately.....but we say...who would want to? When it is blended together with Cedar Grove Compost to make Cedar Grove Booster Blend, it is practically unstoppable!!! You'll love it.
As part of Cedar Grove Booster Blend, Washed Dairy Manure is an imported, fully composted dairy manure that is a perfect amendment for your vegetable garden, beds and shrubs. The Washed Dairy Manure is certified organic in Washington State. Unlike straight manure, it is free of salts and seeds, which are common in other manure stocks.

Chicken Manure
Wow!....Powerful.....like an energy drink for your plants and lawn. Chicken Manure has aged sawdust in it and is great as a soil amendment for your garden or flowerbed. You can even apply it directly on your lawn to bring it to life! For lawns, apply Chicken Manure 1-2" on top of your freshly mowed, short grass. Then rake it in. Apply lots of water over a period of 1-2 weeks. Your grass will grow right through it, green and proud to be under the influence of your cultivating prowess!
Early in the year and spring time is the best time for this because the weather is cool, it is still raining a lot and your lawn is snapping out of its winter dormancy. Its sort of like waking your lawn up with a big breakfast and cup of Joe (parden the pun) after it has been hibernating all winter long!

Steer Manure has aged sawdust in it and is great as a soil amendment for your garden or flowerbed. Processed through a 1/2" screen, Steer Manure is initially dark in color but lightens up to a light brown color. It is excellent as a top dressing or for soil amendment as it is very high in nutrient elements and will assist in retaining moisture. Awe...look at the steamy goodness below and think about breathing in the essence!!
