3-Way Mix Topsoil (Joe's Favorite)

Our 3-Way Mix is a great all-around basic topsoil and it is our most popular. It has Sandy Loam Soil, Peat Moss and Garden Mulch mixed together and is excellent for seeding lawns, sod, flower beds etc.  Processed through a 1/2" screen, the soil content is approximately 80% soil and 20% organic material.

 

 

4-Way Mix Topsoil

Our 4-Way mix is an excellent topsoil that has a little extra mojo in the form of Steer Manure!  It contains: Sandy Loam Soil, Garden Mulch and Aged Sawdust, and Steer Manure.  It is great for seeding lawns, sod, flower beds etc. Processed through a 1/2" screen, the soil content is approximately 80% soil and 20% organic material.

 
 

 

5-Way Premium Mix Topsoil

Our 5-Way Mix Premium Blend Garden Topsoil and is great for lawns, vegetable gardens, container gardening etc.  It is excellent soil with some high powered Chicken Manure (but not enough to burn your grass).  It has the following ingredients: Sandy Loam Soil, Peat Moss, Chicken Manure, Compost/Mulch mix, and Aged Sawdust.  Processed through a 1/2" screen, the soil content is approximately 75% soil and 25% organic material.

 

6-Way Supreme Mix Topsoil

Our 6-Way Mix Premium Blend Garden Topsoil and is great for vegetable gardens, container gardening etc. It is excellent soil and the best that I have. It has the following ingredients: Sandy Loam Soil, Garden Compost, Peat Moss, Fine Dark Aged Mulch, Steer Manure, and Aged Sawdust.  Processed through a 1/2" screen, the soil content is approximately 75% soil and 25% organic material.

 

 

Joe's Half & Half (2-Way Mix)

This is a 50% Bank Sand and 50% Compost/Mulch mixture.  It is screened to 7/16".  Works well for mixing into high clay soils or very wet areas.  It promotes excellent drainage.  This soil is about $7 per yard more than the most commonly sold 3-Way Mix (Joe's Favorite).  There is limited availability.  Please email us to see if it is available in your area.

 

 

 

Cedar Grove Vegetable Garden Mix

A mix of equal parts screened sandy loam, Cedar Grove compost screened to 7/16" and sand. Specially designed for vegetable and herb gardens.

Benefits:  

  • New lighter mix
  • Free draining
  • Should add fertilizer because vegetables are heavy feeders.

Cedar Grove 2-Way Topsoil

Great for new planting and lawns as well as existing landscaping

Content:

  • 50% Cedar Grove Compost screened to 7/16" and 50% sand.
  • No animal waste, sludge or other amendments are added.
  • Screened to 7/16 inch.

Uses:

  • New Lawns - Recommended for installation of new lawn including hydro seeding, and raised beds.
  • New Planting Areas - New planting areas perform well with Cedar Grove's Two-way Topsoil. Installed to a depth of 6-12 inches, Two-way Topsoil provides the organic matter and nutrients as well as the minerals and soil new plants and bulbs need to get established.
  • Landscaping - Improves poor quality native soil for landscaping purposes or to increase grade level

Fill Dirt

Our bank run fill dirt is perfect to fill in large areas where higher quality topsoil may not be needed.  Make no mistake about it though, it is Fill Dirt and NOT topsoil!   It may include rock and root material but it is just normal dirt (like if you were to dig into the side of a hill).

 

 

 

Joe's Recycled Concrete/Gravel Fill

This is a ground up concrete and gravel mixture that is excellent for use as a compacting fill (pictured in the hand below).  It is recommended over standard Bank Run Fill Dirt as it compacts well and there is less chance of it settling...when you're not expecting it to!  Check us for availabilty in your area.

 

 

 

Builders Course Washed Sand

Our Sand is excellent for use in rototilling into heavy clay soils to facilitate drainage, in mixing concrete, or under flagstone, pavers or bricks for creating patios.  It is also used for children's play areas.

 

 

 

Red Lava Sand

This course sand is often used on walkways for a fine manicured look but can be used for just about any purpose that regular sand is used for.  Trucked in all the way from Eastern Washington, it is a great product that can be used as an accent for your project.
