Payment We Accept
Joe’s Landscaping Supplies accepts:
Paying with cash gives you the best (discounted) price when you pick up or have materials delivered.
We only accept personal checks (up to $650) and cashier’s checks (for any amount). For all purchases with a check there is a $10 check charge (per check). . We DO NOT accept business, company, out of state, P.O. Box, or starter checks at all. No personal checks are accepted over $650.
DEBIT OR CREDIT CARDS
We also accept debit/credit cards. For all card purchases up to $650, we add a 10% charge to cover business charges, fees and equipment related to credit card purchases that Joe’s Landscaping Supplies must pay to the credit company. For purchases over $650 we add 7.5%.
Credit card payments can be made in person at our Woodinville retail yard location or when placing an order for delivery, we will call you and take the information over the phone. We don’t store this information so we do not want you to email it to us. We’d rather keep things simple and safe!!
The driver usually carries some change but due to safety reasons, carries a limited amount (please take that into consideration). Please have your payment ready. Extra charges apply if you do not have your payment ready at the time of delivery. Delaying the driver will cost you. We charge $2
Payment Due at Delivery Time (or before!)
Payment is due at the time of delivery. That means when the driver arrives (and before he/she dumps the material), your payment is due. If you can’t be there, you must have a friend, relative, neighbor or your contractor be present to pay the delivery driver for the order.
You can also arrange for customers to place payment under a door mat in case they cannot be on site. This must be prearranged.
Payment can also be made with a credit card before delivery is made also. That is the easiest.
There is an automatic $50 charge added to your bill for payment not received at the time of delivery by the delivery driver.
For non-payment, additional late charges will apply as well as collection fees from our collection agency AmerAssist Inc, A/R solutions , damage of your credit score and possible legal actions against you which may include placing a lien against your property.
Returned Check Policy
There is a $50 charge for all returned checks from our bank, including non sufficient fund (NSF) checks. Joe’s Landscaping Supplies is charged by the bank for this along with an administrative fee for processing, fund acquisition and recovery.
Lien against your property
Your delivery order and the information contained on this website serve as your Notice of Intent to File a Lien.
We have or will provide professional services, materials, or equipment for the improvement of your commercial or residential property. Under Washington State Law, those who furnish labor, professional services, materials or equipment for the repair, remodel or alteration of your residence and who are not paid, have the right to enforce their claim for payment against your property. We expect to be paid by the person who ordered our services and/or materials but if we are not paid, we have the right to enforce our claim by filing a construction lien against your property. You can learn more about lien laws and the meaning of this notice by discussing them with your contractor, suppliers, the Washington State Department of Labor & Industries, the company sending you this notice, your lender or your attorney.
Payment of Multiple load Deliveries
If your order requires us to make multiple trips to your delivery address, you can choose to pay for your order a number of ways:
- By paying the delivery driver for the total of the order at the time of the first delivery (before he dumps the load).
- By paying with a credit card prior to delivery.
- By mailing the total payment to us so that it arrives at least 1 day prior to your delivery date. Please arrange this when you place your order.
Cancellation and Rescheduling Charges
There is a $25 cancellation charge if you cancel at any time for any reason after you have placed an order with us. If we do not hear from you or are unable to contact you at the numbers you have provided prior to delivery (usually we try to reach you the evening before your scheduled delivery), your order will be cancelled or rescheduled and cancellation/rescheduling charges will apply.
If you cancel or reschedule your delivery order within 24 hours of the scheduled delivery day (or the day you said you were available to receive a delivery) or we cannot reach you at the contact numbers you provided, you will be billed a $75 cancellation/rescheduling fee.
Below summarizes the cancellation charges:
- $25 cancellation charge if you have placed an order
- $75 cancellation charge if you cancel within 24 hours of your scheduled delivery day.
If you have already placed an order, a delivery date has been established and you wish to reschedule for an unknown date in the future or a date more than 1 month later than your originally scheduled delivery date, you will be charged the rescheduling charges.
- $25 rescheduling charge if you reschedule two days or more before your originally scheduled delivery date.
- $75 rescheduling charge if you reschedule within 24 hours of your originally scheduled delivery.
If you reschedule at least two days before your originally scheduled delivery date and your new delivery date is within 1 month of your originally scheduled delivery date, there is no rescheduling charge.
Whether you know it or not, we have a considerable amount of time, labor and other overhead expenses invested in you before and after you have placed an order. We are serious about providing you with high quality landscaping materials and service so we want you to be serious about it too! If you are not sure you want to order our products or want to do more comparison shopping or whatever, please do not place an order. We want you to be ready for us……. because we certainly will be ready for you!
Cancellation and rescheduling charges enable us to recover expenses we have already incurred due to manpower scheduling, delivery route planning, pre-ordering and pre-purchasing of materials from our wholesale partners (if applicable), administrative costs, office supplies, the time/expense of generating your order, and other overhead costs. Most of all, the charges take into account that we likely declined other sales at the same time that we reserved for your delivery. For example if you cancel or reschedule the day before your scheduled delivery, we will probably not be able to fill your delivery time slot and therefore we will have lost sales for that time.
An additional 85% restocking charge and $115 delivery charge will apply if we have already loaded the material that you ordered in our dump truck at the time you cancel or reschedule.
No Refunds or Returns
Due to the nature of the products that we sell and the considerable trucking expense to get them to you, there are no refunds or returns on Joe’s Landscaping products, delivery charges or other charges/fees. We do not and cannot come and pick up materials once they are dumped from the dump truck and take them back. We do not have the equipment or manpower to do this. The cost to pick up materials usually far exceeds the amount of the whole order.
We are absolutely confident that our products are of the highest quality and are as good or better than what our competitors offer. If you are not absolutely sure about what you are ordering, ask us for more information before we deliver it to you. We send pictures of our materials/products to you when you get a quote. You also have the opportunity to view the products/materials before they are delivered to you at our retail yard located at 13300 Avondale Road NE, Woodinville WA. 98077. We can also give you customer references. Lastly, when we arrive with your product/material, you can see it before it is dumped. In this case, you can pay a restocking fee for us to take the product/material back (usually $125-$250) depending on the material and amount). Some materials are purchased directly from a 3rd party supplier and we are not able to return them. In this case, you would have to pay a restocking charge (that covers the trucking expense) plus a disposal charge.
Once you order it from us and we deliver it to you, it is yours and we expect payment. If payment is not made, legal action, including a lien against your property can and will be administered and a collection agency will collect the debt including late charges and other fees.
